Interior and exterior painting requires attentive preparation. Before our team steps on site, it’s crucial that you know what to expect and take the necessary precautions to protect your home from damage.
Both our interior and exterior painting projects start with a signed agreement between our team and the client. You must submit this contract to our office along with a deposit, master color sheet, and selected paint color information. Please include the paint manufacturer, color name, and color number for reference. Interior painting clients are responsible for removing all possessions from the room, including:
- Picture frames
- Table lamps
- Breakables
- Clothing from closets
- Grandfather clocks
- Books from shelves
- Computers
- Televisions
- Stereos
- Equipment
- Paintings
- Towels
- Rugs
- Curtains and draperies
Do you plan to put your picture frames back into their previous spot on the wall? If so, please leave all nails in your walls. Our team will thoroughly spackle and fill all holes from removed nails. We also request that the client disable their alarm systems, and keep all children and pets away from the work area.
For exterior painting projects, there are several relevant points to consider. If we’re painting your exterior windows or doors, we ask that you unlock them so that we can remove all screens and storm windows for you. Our team often requires access to water and electricity in order to adequately complete your project. Many clients belong to a Homeowners Association (HOA) and their exterior paint colors are restricted to specific, uniform options. If this applies to you, please seek approval from your HOA before the start date of your exterior painting service. After your exterior painting project, it’s important to move the windows up and down to prevent sticking.
